From June 26 to 28, 2024, the China Association for the Promotion of Science and Technology Perovskite Industry Branch Semi-Annual Members' Meeting (2024) and the 6th Global Perovskite and Tandem Cell (Greater Bay Area) Industrialization Forum were successfully held at the Grand Hyatt Hotel in Shenzhen, Guangdong. Guangdong Mingyang Thin Film Technology Co., Ltd. attended the meeting as a co-organizer and gave a keynote speech on "Mingyang Route for the Development of Perovskite Industrialization".

As the semi-annual conference of the Perovskite Industry Branch and an important event in the field of perovskites in the Greater Bay Area, the forum invited experts and bigwigs from perovskite battery research institutions, battery and component manufacturers, material and equipment suppliers, testing and certification, financial investment and other fields to participate, focusing in depth on perovskite materials, equipment, processes, devices and application bottlenecks, and jointly exploring an innovative development model of "industry-university-research-application" collaborative cooperation.

On June 27, Dr. Deng Xiang, R&D Director of Guangdong Mingyang Thin Film Technology Co., Ltd., attended the 6th Global Perovskite and Tandem Cell (Greater Bay Area) Industrialization Forum. In recent years, the development of perovskites has become a consensus in the photovoltaic industry. As one of the most advantageous key research and development directions for new solar cells, compared with traditional crystalline silicon materials, perovskite cells have a series of advantages such as conversion efficiency, simple structure, low cost and diversified application scenarios, and bear the heavy responsibility of further reducing the cost of photovoltaic electricity and achieving the dual carbon goals.

Double film technology route
Boosting the innovative development of the BIPV industry
Guangdong Ming Yang Thin Film Technology Co., Ltd. is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Ming Yang Smart Energy Group. It undertakes the important task of developing thin-film photovoltaic industrialization, including cadmium telluride, perovskite and stacking technology, for Ming Yang Smart Energy Group.

Mingyang Thin Film Technology has now built a high-efficiency perovskite solar cell experimental center, which has a complete equipment system for battery and component preparation and testing. The conversion efficiency of the inverse-structure perovskite thin-film battery certified by a third party has reached 25.11%.
In terms of perovskite stacking technology, Mingyang Thin Film Technology, as a company that has successfully achieved the industrialization/commercialization of cadmium telluride thin-film batteries and mastered perovskite thin-film battery technology, has now developed non-homogeneous cadmium telluride/perovskite stacking components. In addition, it has also made significant research and development progress in the field of perovskite/crystalline silicon stacking.
In terms of industrialization, Mingyang Thin Film Technology has a complete 300*300mm² perovskite module experimental line. It has achieved breakthroughs in stability and large-area modules in a short period of time, and is actively planning the construction of a perovskite pilot line.

In addition, Mingyang Thin Film Technology has advanced BIPV back-end production lines and has accumulated rich experience in thin-film battery industrialization and BIPV market applications. The conversion efficiency of the company's cadmium telluride thin-film modules certified by a third party has reached the national advanced level. Current products include cadmium telluride chips, standard photovoltaic modules, BIPV photovoltaic glass, customizable light-transmitting, colored, glazed, hollow photovoltaic glass, etc. The products have been successfully applied to smart cities, urban landscapes, rural revitalization, low-carbon transportation, integrated photovoltaic storage and other fields, which not only meet the requirements of building safety and aesthetics, but also provide economical and practical green energy.
