BIPV case sharing | The wind and rain corridor is covered with "rainbow clothes", Mingyang photovoltaic glass helps build the first "zero carbon island"

The Mangrove Ecological Park is located in Xiting'ao, Meizhou Island. It has a viewing bridge, viewing platform, embankment viewing and leisure trail, service center, etc. The mangrove area in the park exceeds 500 acres, which is a unique "forest on the sea" landscape. The Wind and Rain Corridor is an excellent location for viewing the mangrove landscape and is a must-see for tourists visiting the island.

Meizhou Island focuses on the construction goal of "Ecological, Low-carbon, Civilized and Smart Meizhou Island", builds a "near-zero carbon" building application system in the mangrove ecological park, and uses the wind and rain corridors of the park's leisure trails to lay a photovoltaic power generation system. In order to meet its aesthetic needs, BIPV photovoltaic power generation glass uses sunshine orange, imperial gold, forest green, and sky blue. From a distance, it looks like a rainbow, hidden among the mangroves, capturing the energy of light, and powering the three buildings of the park service center, achieving "near-zero carbon" emissions.

The total installed capacity of this project is about 15 kilowatts. Through the 10 kWh energy storage system and inverter system configured in the park, the "near-zero carbon" building demonstration site in Mangrove Park does not use city electricity, but only uses photovoltaic power generation to meet all the electricity needs of the park management room. With the cooperation of the energy storage system, photovoltaic power generation can achieve all-weather clean power self-balancing and "near-zero carbon" emissions in the park service center through comprehensive optimization and control of energy flow, which is the first time in Putian City.

This photovoltaic system can generate 19,500 kWh of electricity per year, which can fully meet the annual electricity demand of the Mangrove Park of about 11,600 kWh. The remaining electricity can also be used for surrounding street lights and night scene lighting, achieving full consumption of clean electricity. It is estimated that within the 25-year operation cycle, the total power generation will reach 490,000 kWh, reducing carbon pollution emissions by about 190 tons.

Mingyang Photovoltaic Glass's colored BIPV power generation components can be customized in color according to the requirements of the building facade through a variety of methods such as frosting, coating, colored PVB, and colored glaze. They have been successfully used in landmark projects such as the National Speed Skating Oval for the 2022 Beijing Winter Olympics and the Datong Tairui New Materials R&D Building.
