Boosting the development of green energy! Mingyang successfully launched high-voltage cascade energy storage products

As energy storage power stations move from the MWh era to the GWh era, the 35kV high-voltage cascade energy storage system launched by Mingyang Group has become one of the best solutions for GWh energy storage power stations with its leading technological advantages. The system has multiple advantages such as large single-unit capacity, high energy conversion efficiency, simple system coordination and control, high safety, low cost, long battery life and strong grid support capabilities. The products that are launched this time will be developed for new application scenarios in the "Three North Regions" and the "Shagohuang" large base, which can provide the power grid with stronger peak-shaving and frequency-regulating capabilities, and better support the access of new energy power generation and the stable operation of the power grid.

The successful launch of Mingyang's high-voltage cascade energy storage system marks the completion of the first phase of the new energy power electronics sector, the second largest industry in Baotou City after the wind power equipment industry, as scheduled. The products produced by the first phase of the project include high-voltage cascade energy storage systems, SVG dynamic reactive power compensation systems, photovoltaic inverters, static phase regulators and other products. Among them, the core technologies of 3S (PCS energy storage inverter, BMS battery management system, EMS energy management system) involved in the high-voltage cascade energy storage system are all independently developed by Mingyang.

The cooperation between Baotou City and Mingyang Group has a long history. Based on the principle of "long-term cooperation, extending and supplementing supply chains, complementary advantages, mutual benefit and win-win", the two sides continue to deepen the content of cooperation and expand the scope of cooperation. From the signing of the investment cooperation agreement for the ultra-large onshore wind power equipment and key core components intelligent manufacturing industrial park project in 2021, to the signing of the cooperation agreement for the construction of a GWh high-voltage and high-power cascade energy storage integrated system and a new energy power electronic product production base in 2024, the cooperation between Mingyang Group and Baotou City has continuously achieved new results.

As the leader of the wind power equipment industry chain in the autonomous region and the chairman unit of the Industry Promotion Association, Mingyang has, as always, firmly implemented the autonomous region's strategic deployment of coordinating the integrated development of new energy development and new energy equipment manufacturing industry, and has clearly defined the strategic layout of building a comprehensive, localized, and physically operated onshore equipment headquarters group for wind power equipment in Jiuyuan District, Baotou City, and clustering the construction of two major equipment manufacturing bases in Shiguai District's wind power industry and Jiuyuan District's power electronics industry, striving to build a "one body and two wings" new energy industry development pattern.

Liu Junyi, secretary of the Jiuyuan District Committee of Baotou City, said at the ceremony that Mingyang Group invested in and built a production base in Baotou at the fastest speed, and successfully completed the production of various new energy power electronic products such as high-voltage cascade energy storage systems, which not only demonstrated Mingyang Group's excellent management effectiveness and leading position in the field of energy storage technology, but also filled the gap in the intelligent manufacturing of green energy high-end equipment in Baotou City, bringing new opportunities for the development of new energy industry in Baotou City and even the entire autonomous region. Baotou City will continue to introduce warm policies, provide intimate services, create a high-quality business environment, and continue to support Mingyang Group's project construction and industrial development in Baotou.
